Dear Block Parent,
Thank you for your years of dedicated support of the Waterloo Regional Block Parent® Program. Members of our community, especially children, have been feeling more safe in their neighbourhoods because of the Block Parent sign in YOUR window. We hope that this experience has been a rewarding one, and that you'll continue to volunteer with our program for years to come!
In the next few weeks, you may receive a Re-Certification email that will remind you that you need to update your Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). Don't forget that all members of your household over the age of 12 must complete a free Police Vulnerable Sector Check to continue to volunteer as a Block Parent family.
New! Waterloo Regional Police Services are now offering on-line PVSC’s! This is a new, easy and FREE way to obtain your PVSC for the Block Parent Program. Please click on the "Becoming a Block Parent" tab on our website for step-by-step instructions.
Upon review of your Police Vulnerable Sector Checks by the Waterloo Regional Block Parent® Program, a new sticker will be mailed to your home to be placed on your Block Parent window sign.
If someone in your household has turned 12 years of age since your last PRC, if you have moved or changed any of the information on your original Block Parent Application, please update us by using the application form which can be found on our website at www.blockparents.ca, under the "Becoming a Block Parent" tab.
