Lincolnshire Armed Forces Covenant

Hello and welcome to our Armed Forces Covenant newsletter for autumn 2017.

I have had the honour of representing the county council through the Armed Forces Covenant for the last four years and currently co-chair the Partnership Board with Air Commodore Peter Squires.

I am extremely proud that we, in Lincolnshire, are home to an Armed Forces community that is both active and engaged in all aspects of Lincolnshire life.

Lincolnshire County Council is pleased to have supported more than fifty community groups across the county to apply for funding from the Covenant Fund. It is from this fund that LCC have also been successful; and we welcome Liz Dockerty to the team to support the development of the covenant for two years. We look forward to hearing about her work around the county with our communities.

Councillor Mrs Sue Woolley

The re-signing ceremony, held at RAF College Cranwell, was a positive indication of the continued commitment of the Lincolnshire civilian community to support its local Armed Forces community. It is the Lincolnshire Armed Forces Covenant Partnership's desire to continue and build upon the good work already achieved between all parties.
