It’s been an exciting third term for us, with lots of positive feedback from the field and special projects coming together.
Thanks to our team of mentors who always go above and beyond and all of our schools for contributing to yet another successful term.
Exciting news - with generous donations from Tsogo Sun and Corevest we invested in Reading Corners for two of our schools. During Term 3 we officially handed over the reading boxes to some very excited learners at Northwood Primary and Woodville Primary School. They each received 450 books! These books were carefully selected to suit the reading level of all learners and to promote a culture of reading among them, as well as the school as a whole. Many thanks to Joy from JH Books for helping us select these wonderful reading books, to Avis for their support in covering these books and to our donors TsogoSun and Corevest. Many thanks to Mr Jones and Mr Riddles, the principals of these schools for hosting us. We hope that these books instil a love of reading at your schools!

Thanks from the two principals via our Facebook page: "Thank you Edupeg for making a difference, this is an invaluable effort in raising our Literacy levels.Your support to our educators has been phenomenal & utterly enriching. Thanks to our Sponsors too." - Mr Jones, Northwood Primary Principal
"We are greatly indebted to Edupeg and their donor base for blessing our school with these tools. Our pupils' development will be spurred on by this generous gift. May your organisation grow from strength to strength.Thank you!!!!" - Mr Riddles, Woodville Primary Principal
There are so many delightful pictures, but we couldn't choose them all, so please head over to our Facebook page for the full album.
Our third and final workshops for the year were held in Term 3. The third Teach Like a Champion workshops were held at nine schools, attended by 156 educators. The main aim of this workshop is to help the teachers distinguish between ‘I taught it’ and ‘they learned it’. This workshop follows on from the previous workshop where the teachers were introduced to double planning. By the end of this workshop teachers are be able to understand and practice how to develop a Culture of Error in their classroom and understand and practice three techniques to Check for Understanding.

Ms Booysen, Foundation Phase subject advisor from the Western Cape Education Department joined one of our workshops and in her Exit Ticket wrote: "I learned different techniques to use in class to improve and develop the culture of error and techniques to check understanding. Videos give a clear clarity, very practical. Well done, teachers are benefiting!! Atmosphere very free and comfortable."

Our third Lead Like a Champion workshop was held at 34 schools, attended by 135 School Management Team representatives. The aim of this workshop is to assist the School Management Teams with the identification of their role in supporting teachers to use three techniques to plan lessons effectively everyday.
