Proposed Development in Ward 10

This neighbourhood meeting is your first opportunity to hear about a proposed development from the applicant, learn about the City’s planning approval process and timelines, and ask questions.

Date: Wednesday, October 11, 2017
Time: 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.
Location: Surface Water Treatment Plant (lunch room), 20 Royal Parkside Drive

Development Details

This meeting is being held with respect to applications for Zoning By-law Amendment and Draft Plan of Subdivision. The proposal is to rezone lands located at 961 Big Bay Point Road from Residential Rural (RR) and Agricultural General (AG) to Neighbourhood Residential R5 to permit the future development of 16 single detached residential lots on the subject lands.

What to Expect

  • A presentation from the applicant of the development concept.
  • Information about the City's review process and timing.
  • An opportunity to meet the applicant, City staff and ward councillor.
  • An opportunity to ask questions and provide your comments and/or concerns regarding the proposed development.

What not to Expect

  • City staff recommendations on the application or a detailed analysis on the proposal (this will occur later in the review process).
  • A debate on the merits of the proposal between City staff and the applicant.
