This weekend we are celebrating EVERYTHING NARAMATA.

A hundred years ago the Naramata Bench was a major fruit growing area and over the years it has become home to world class viticulturists growing the grapes that are the basis for the renown of Naramata Bench wines. It has also become home to artisans, restaurants and B&B accommodations.

I am looking so forward to sharing this viticulture region with all of you this weekend as they have some of the nicest wineries and wines in the Okanagan.
They seem to be able to grow everything on the Bench, from Pinot Gris to Pinot Noir to Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this Bench continues to produce award-winning wines.

Come by today from 3-6pm to taste the wines of Bench 1775 with Julia and tomorrow to taste our picks from the Naramata Bench as we showcase some favorite from wineries like Hillside, Therapy, Upper Bench and Moraine.

We have events coming up!
This starts with our Club Pickup Party being next week on Wednesday as we celebrate Club SPW and Tatum's trip to Denmark at Lakeside Beach Club, where Frank from Therapy Vineyards will be pouring and Trevor McDonald playing live.

When we get back, look to attend our Riedel Event in November, a Library Tasting in November or December and our Christmas Ladies Night and Men's Night.

Thanksgiving is coming and the wines of this weekend would pair perfectly.
Cheers,

Kim Murphy

Red Rooster 2015 Pinot Gris $20.99+taxes

The grapes were picked over many days in October, and from many vineyard sites, in order to showcase the best quality fruit from the Okanagan Valley. Our Pinot Gris was whole cluster pressed to extract pure, clean aroma and flavour components and cool fermented in stainless steel to preserve the character and the freshness of the fruit.

Clear and bright with a fresh, clean aroma of peach, melon, pear, yellow apple and marzipan.  This rooster shows a slightly rich, round fleshy profile with peach, melon and a hint of spice on the palate.  Then refreshing notes of orange, tangerine, lemon drop and yellow plum ‘take flight’ on the finish. Drink while young and fresh. A terrific sipping wine or serve with lightly seasoned pan-fried fillets of fish; seared scallops; roast chicken; poached salmon; smoked salmon risotto; crab cakes; turkey wraps; leek and mushroom quiche.

Therapy 2016 Riesling $23.99+taxes
CLUB SPW FAVOURITE ~BEST SELLER

The grapes used in this blend were grown exclusively on the Naramata Bench and came from our estate managed Schweinle Vineyard on the North Naramata Road. On the nose, this wine has intense aromas of honeycomb, flint and fresh ripe pineapple.  Matched with flavours of golden apples, spice and ginger which linger on the palate.  The fresh bright acidity helps balance the residual sugar and mid-palate weight. Only 402 cases produced. Single Vineyard grapes.

Melannie’s Notes: This is the first Riesling Therapy has done and we are very impressed.  One of our new favourites in the store!
