Workshop “Designing and Validating Future Intelligent Electric Power Systems”
in Kassel (DE) on 6 September, 2017
On 6 September 2017 the public workshop “Designing and validating future intelligent electric power systems” gathered over 70 stakeholders in the domain of distributed energy resources and smart grids in Kassel (DE). The event was co-organised by ERIGrid, ELECTRA IRP, EERA JP Smart Grids, SIRFN, DERlab and Fraunhofer IWES - which enabled cross-network participation and fruitfil exchange of ideas on the intersecting objectives from each project and network.

You can find more information and all presentations held at the workshop here.

Inspiring Youth to Science
The European Researchers’ Night (ERN) is an annual event that takes place simultaneously in several hundred cities all over Europe and beyond. Taking place on 29 September 2017 in Vienna (AT), beSCIENCEd is Austria’s contribution to this event, hosted by the Practical Robotics Institute Austria in partnership with the Vienna Institute of Technology (TGM)

The event gives youths and adults the opportunity to get an insight into what it's like being a researcher and a taster of cutting-edge technology that is used in modern research.
ERIGrid is contributing to beSCIENCEd by providing a science booth on smart grids with an overview of trends and research activities in the domain of smart grids. The partner project ELECTRA IRP will also be presented.

The programme of the event will include various engaging activities, such as interdisciplinary science booths, workshops, a dedicated EU corner, science slam sessions and science cafes.
