Hi everyone!  Welcome to my periodic newsletter, full of news, recipes, and tips from my blog, The Domestic Man.

Hey folks, it's been a while.  I've been so busy working on my next cookbook (and with other life events) that I kept putting of my newsletter.  One week turned to two, then a whole month, and so on - it's now been about four months since my last newsletter!  Rest assured that I'm not going anywhere, and I hope to make up for lost time by sharing NINETEEN different recipes in this newsletter - all of which have recently appeared on my blog.

Since my last newsletter, my family and I moved to Norfolk, VA, as part of my transfer in the Navy to a new duty station.  So far, we're loving it here.  The weather is great, there are a ton of restaurants, we live a block from the water, and we've been riding our bikes everywhere in the evenings.  Oliver (8) started third grade, and Elliott (1 1/2) is picking up new words every day - it's a very exciting time in our house!  My new position is satisfying, and challenging - all the things I like to tackle in my "day job".

In terms of work on the new cookbook, things are going really well - I'm wrapping up recipe development, and will be sending info for anyone who would like to participate in recipe testing over the next few months.  That was one of my favorite aspects of rolling out Paleo Takeout, and I expect you all are going to love combing through the recipe list soon!
RECIPE ROUNDUP

Here are the recipes I've posted on The Domestic Man since my previous newsletter (oldest to newest):

Argentenian-style Tri-Tip with Chimichurri
- One of my favorite dishes to grill!

Gluten-Free Southern Skillet Cornbread
- My first recipe with corn in over five years - worth every bite.

Mangú (Dominican Mashed Plantains) - A staple in the Dominican Republic, super simple and satisfying!

Oven-Roasted Pork Adobo - One of our family favorites, made in just a few steps.

Argentenian-style Tri-Tip with Chimichurri - One of my favorite dishes to grill!

Green Papaya Salad - A fan favorite from Paleo Takeout, now on the blog!

Wang Galbi (Traditionally-cut Korean Short Ribs)
- This is the "weeknight" version of my recipe, easy enough to throw together in just a few minutes.

Simple Salsa Roja - My foundational salsa recipe, worlds better than the stuff that comes in a jar.

Thai Chicken Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Gai)
- I was on a big Thai food kick over the summer, and this was on our dinner table often.

Guineitos en Escabeche (Pickled Green Bananas)
- A unique way to enjoy green bananas - fruity, exotic, and dead simple to make!

Spaghetti and Meatballs - Another classic from Paleo Takeout - the meatballs alone are worth the effort!

Potjiekos (South African Hodgepodge Stew)
- Super simple, satisfying stew, with a fun backstory to boot.

Gluten-Free Chicken Karaage - I've received more requests for this recipe than any other over the past couple years - check it out!

Lamb Tagine with Potatoes and Toasted Almonds
- It's been about five years since I've posted a new Tagine recipe, and this one doesn't disappoint.

Roast Duck with Winter Vegetables
- Simple, classic, foolproof roast duck!

Wedge Salad - My favorite salad (or at least, my favorite salad to make, since it's so easy).

Shakshuka
- Traditional skillet dish of tomatoes, peppers, onions, and eggs - don't miss this one.

Phew!  That's a cubic ton of recipes - I hope you folks enjoy them!
My friends at ButcherBox are celebrating their two-year birthday (just ahead of our youngest son, Elliott!). To celebrate, they’re throwing in a package of two 10oz ribeyes (a $25 value) for new customers’ first orders – that’s in addition to $10 off that The Domestic Man readers already receive by using my affiliate link.

I’m a big fan of ButcherBox, and I look forward to receiving my customizable box every month – stocked full of staples and new cuts of beef, pork, and/or chicken every time. This offer expires at midnight on Tuesday, October 3rd, so don’t wait!

NOW AVAILABLE!

Paleo Takeout: Restaurant Favorites without the Junk - My second cookbook and The New York Times-bestseller, it features over 250 recipes inspired by restaurant menus across the globe.

The Ancestral Table: Traditional Recipes for a Paleo Lifestyle - My debut cookbook, featuring over 115 recipes based on traditional and international cuisines.  This book is a celebration of dishes that we can enjoy in the same way that our great-grandparents enjoyed them, with only minimal adjustments made to honor my belief that foods should be healthful, nutrient-dense, and immensely satisfying.

The Safe Starch Cookbook - The 2017 edition of my eBook features 27 new recipes (42% more content than the previous version, now 91 recipes total). I’ve also updated the cover, graphics, and some of the recipe formatting. The Safe Starch Cookbook now contains 221 pages full of pictures and helpful info for anyone looking to deliciously incorporate starches into their diet.

Deep Dish: Season One - A combination eBook, radio show, and history lesson, all focused on a single meal; for our first season, we tackled the quintessential All-American Meal: meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas and carrots, and apple pie!
