This wildly popular event will take place in Harmony Park in Oakhurst Village.  Some WSA students and WSA alum will also be playing with other groups making the entire event a crowd pleaser!  More information about the event is found at DAA.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Parent Teacher Conferences will be next week - October 4-6.  You should have received a signup from your class teacher already.  This year, you can sign up in one place to speak with the specialty teachers and Conference Care through Signup Genius. (Kindergarten families, to reach the Kindergarten Conference Care tab, just scroll through the tabs at the top of the page.)

Conference Care on Wednesday and Thursday will run from 2:00pm until 6:00pm. Conference Care on Friday will run from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Please remember there is no school on Friday.

Wednesday and Thursday care for kindergarten children will be held in the 5-Day kindergarten building. Care for the grades children will take place in Hazelwood Hall/upper playground. One combined group (kindergarten and grades) for Conference Care on Friday will be held in the upper playground.  Conference Care is only for children enrolled in our school. Each child should come prepared with a snack and water bottle. Children will be coming and going throughout the day and regular extended care snack will not be served.

Annual Fund

Count down to the Helping Our Hive Thrive Annual Fund campaign

There are 18 days before this year's Annual Fund campaign officially launches at Farm Burger on October 17, and already we have had an outpouring of generous pledges! $59,963 have already been raised by 30% of our WSA community! Thanks so much to all who have already made a pledge to Helping Our Hive Thrive!!!!

Sun Circle contributions of $1,000 or more are essential to funding our school’s growth and development vision. The Annual Fund committee is delighted to share that the initial matching challenge gift of $5,000 for the first five new Sun Circle donors has already been met! A second family in our community has stepped forward with a matching challenge gift of $10,000 for donors who increase their pledge to the Annual Fund by $1,000 from last year. These two gifts inspire us all to open our hearts as well as our pockets to stretch our giving in support of our school.

The Annual Fund welcomes all pledges at any level, as we seek 100% participation from all families during this upcoming 31-day campaign. Our goal is collect every family's pledge by November 16, however; pledges can be fulfilled over the course of the 2017-18 school year through June 30, 2018. Visit the Annual Fund page on the WSA website to make your online donation today!

Dia de los Muertos at La Calavera Bakery
Fall's here now, and that means that the fourth annual Dia de los Muertos celebration is coming up at La Calavera Bakery on College (where WSA gets the delicious breads for Coffee Wednesday)!  Last year many people showed up to enjoy fresh pan de muerto and other treats, plus face painting and mariachi music. Head over to the bakery on Sunday, October 29 from 3:30-5pm to share this beautiful holiday when we remember loved ones we've lost and celebrate their lives and ours.
