StoryCorps App Can Help Oral History

StoryCorps is one of the largest oral history projects of its kind. Since 2003, storycorps has collected and archived more than 60,000 interviews from more than 100,000 participants. Each conversation is preserved at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress. You may have heard some of these on NPR.

You can record and share stories using the the free StoryCorps app. It walks users through an interview by providing all the necessary tools: help preparing questions, finding the right environment for your conversation, recording a high-quality interview on your mobile device, sharing the finished product with friends and family, and uploading your conversation to the StoryCorps.me website.

This opens more opportunity for us all to conduct oral history interviews for posterity and research. Perhaps you might have a story to share about an Episcopal woman?
