Sustaining Dunbar

Sustaining Dunbar’s aim is to bring people together to plan and support projects to create a positive and sustainable future for Dunbar and District. We believe that the challenges we face in decarbonising our community are also an opportunity to design a fair and equitable future focussed on wellbeing for all, meaningful livelihoods and a revitalised natural environment. We encourage everyone who shares our aims to become a member and to become involved with our activities. Members are eligible to put themselves forward to be on our Board of Directors which is elected by the members at our AGM each year or may become involved with one of our project working groups.

Sustaining Dunbar is part of the Transition Network, is an active member of the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network and is a Development Trust .
