Dear Port Fairy Folk Festival Friend,

The Port Fairy Spotlight Sessions

Friday October 20, 7:30pm at Memo Music Hall

As a valued subscriber, use the code FOLK18 when booking tickets to receive your special discount.

In the true spirit of one of Australia’s most iconic and long standing music festivals, the Port Fairy Spotlight Sessions will bring a taste of the Port Fairy Folk Festival to the 'big smoke' in celebration of the artists and the philosophy that make this Festival so special.

The inaugural gig will kick off with Meet the Guests - an artist Q&A - hosted by Jamie McKew. Mick Thomas, Declan O'Rourke, Kerri Simpson and Barb Waters will come together for a chat with the audience and a few songs. These collaborations are an integral and much loved part of the Festival and this combination of talent should produce some fine music and craic. If that isn’t enough, the audience will then be treated to an intimate set from each of the artists - over three hours – making it a bonafide Festival gig, smack bang in the middle of St Kilda.

Call out for Instrument Makers

The festival boasts one of the largest interactive instrument makers’exhibition in Australia. InstrumentworX is a bustling hub of knowledge, information and the joy of creativity. Marvel at the beauty and tone, chat to the makers and watch instruments being crafted; many of which are for sale. From whistles to guitars, ukes, basses and percussion, you can hear the instruments being played by festival artists in the ‘Made and Played’ concert on Sunday evening. Around 20 makers exhibit each year, and we are putting out the call for expressions of interest now. Please email pfff@portfairyfolkfestival.com or phone the Program Office on 03 5229 3424 if you are interested in exhibiting.

Limited PFFF early bird tickets are still available - click here
The dates for the 42nd festival next year are March 09 – 12, 2018
