From the Courts

Wow! What a terrific start to the Summer Season of Netball this week. Congratulations to all the players, parents, coaches, umpires and managers who braved the threat of the weather and storm clouds during Tuesday and Wednesday and kicked off our summer season of netball.

Great results from across our teams.  Remember that we are in Grading weeks so some changes still might occur at the end of Grading with slight changes to the Division compositions.  But don’t worry, it will be a seamless and painless process if that happens!

Please remember to make our new members feel very welcome in your teams and explain to them the way things work at Wavell and at the BNA (particularly the tips about the car parking!!) so that their experience is a positive one!

Correction
Last newsletter, we had the Opens Div 1 team listed as Whiplash. That was a mistake and should have been listed as Wildfire. We apologise for any confusion this has caused.

Stay up to date with everything at Wavell Netball by keeping an eye on our Website, Facebook and Instagram pages.

Wet Weather

With the Summer Season about to commence which also means "summer storms", it is a good time to remind parents and players of the wet weather procedures.

Game Day
The BNA courts are deemed “all weather courts” so fixtures will proceed in the rain but not when there is lightning. BNA (not Wavell Netball) will cancel the games and will inform the club secretary who in turn will then inform the Coaches and Managers who will then inform the parents and players.

Training
The decision to train in wet weather is ultimately decided by your coach. If your coach cancels training, then the team manager will be informed and they will communicate to the team's parents and players advising of cancellation.

Wavell Netball will also post on its Website, Facebook and Instagram advising if games and / or training has been cancelled.
