The recently opened CLUB CUMMING has breathed new nightlife into the East Village, not a moment too soon. The tiny stage, cabaret glamour and interesting programming have attracted many JACKIE 60/MOTHER faithful with legacy nights like "Reading For Filth" and "Messy"  residing there. It was a natural choice for this year's BROWN PARTY, and we've put together a very special edition for this Sunday 10/15. Its fun re-imagining our annuals, from the NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES sub-theme "Garbo" earlier this year, to a new indoor iteration of LOW LIFE in the works. To begin another season is in itself a cause for celebration - Won't you join us?

The legendary JACKIE 60 theme party returns for its annual edition in a brand new East Village venue - CLUB CUMMING - already loved by the hometown crowd. THE BROWN PARTY began in 1991 as a spoof on the gay theme parties of generations past, and grew into a NYC nightlife tradition and piece of club Art. This year's edition was inspired by the CLUB CUMMING cabaret-tinged decor and will feature Cabaret cliches, Dadaist and Weimar touches and even a bit of Oktoberfest amongst the familiar brown soundtrack and dress code.

Brown Party DJs WITCH CAMP (AMBER MARTIN and NATH ANN CARRERA) spin Sixties and Seventies rock, folk, esoterica and more, with JACKIE 60 theme queen ALTHEA LOVELESS opening. Performance highlights will include Chanteuse Extraordinaire JOEY ARIAS, a BROWN CHORUS LINE starring POISON EVE, DARLINDA JUST DARLINDA and ERIC SCHMALENBERGER and SEND IN THE BROWN, with JACKIE MCS PAUL ALEXANDER, HATTIE HATHAWAY and CHI CHI VALENTI.
