From Jay: I’ve had people come to me with various fears and phobias over the years; flying, spiders, lifts and heights are the most common. Laura came with a new one - a terror of steep steps. She’d been worrying about her forthcoming holiday in Santorini for months, and with steps like these it threatened to ruin the holiday.
We did one session: resolving the events that caused the phobia and some hypnosis to seal the deal, and Bob’s your Uncle, as you can see in Laura's above picture postcard!
From Laura: For years I have had a slight fear of stairs and escalators but managed day by day to deal with it. After a recent trip to Prague earlier this year, i had a panic attack at the top of the the castle looking down at the slippy steep stairs in front of me and literally froze and had to be aided down.
Then when booking a holiday to Santorini, Greece, fear took over. One of the beautiful tourist spots of Ouia was full of slippy steep stairs and the only way to explore was on foot...
Luckily our Hypnotherapist Jay Dudley was able to save the day.
Using a special technique to re-train the brain into not thinking about the fear, she then Hypnotised me to settle my nerves.
All I can say is WOW!! I strolled around the beautiful Ouia, taking in all the sights and more importantly not having a care in the world about the steps.
