BigML is proud to organize three special events in Spain about the importance of protecting the Intellectual Property (IP) when developing software and other technologies. These events will take place in Madrid on October 25, in Barcelona on October 26, and in Valencia on October 27. The workshops will explain the effect that patents have on innovation for tech companies, their prominent role in the entire technology life cycle (from initial ideas to market introduction), what could happen if your IP is not properly patented, the process to protect your inventions, and how well investors value patents in tech companies, among many other questions.
Topics will be discussed from three different perspectives: beginning with a startup’s point of view, presented by Francisco J. Martín, BigML’s CEO; following up with a perspective of big corporations, explained by Luis Ignacio Vicente del Olmo, Head of Telefónica Patent Office at Telefónica; and concluding with the legal viewpoint by Micah D. Stolowitz, IP Strategist at FisherBroyles, and Graciela Gómez Cowger, IP Strategist at Schwabe Williamson & Wyatt. The sessions will also delve into the current IP climate for both European and US companies.
