Along with this, this series is an incredible opportunity to meet and engage with other start up individuals!

The first session in the series was Starting a Nonprofit Organization, on September 14th. If you missed it, consider checking out the downloadable ebook! It will walk you through the process and help get you ready for October’s workshop.

Creating Sustainable Funding for a Nonprofit

Join us for a fast-paced session presented by our partners at Benevon! In this workshop, you'll see a systematic model for building sustainable funding for your mission and learn how to leave a legacy of passionate lifelong individual donors as you tailor the Benevon Model to your organization. IN THE COMMUNITY

Guest Speaker Available from Revalue
Looking for a guest speaker this fall? Revalue has developed a new talk centered on community impact investing and why it's so critical.

We Have The Power.

We have more control of our money than the financial world wants us to believe. Angela Barbash, Revalue co-founder and principal, explains community impact investing and how you can make a choice to support your community’s economic development, revitalization, growth and sustainability.

It's formatted for 15, 30, or 45 minute time slots. Audiences that would find it most compelling are those engaged in business, economic development, or community leadership. It's a storytelling format, no A/V, and plenty of time for Q&A. They are not requesting a speaker fee.

Mini-Grant Opportunity for Jewish Leaders
The Jewish Fund is offering a new mini-grant opportunity. The funding will support trainings of staff leadership who are committed to strengthen organizational capacity, which will ultimately lead to improved outcomes and impact in the communities served. Review the grant guidelines and apply here!

Our Common Future Conference
This October 25-27, you're invited to join changemakers from across the country in Detroit for an event that will radically expand the way you think about making a difference in the world.

Our Common Future is an experience. It's about energy, action, and collaboration. It's about bringing your very best self and engaging with others who are dedicated to making a difference. It's about sharing and exploring exciting ideas. It's about moving beyond simply discussing the community and actually being a part of it. It's about unlocking your imagination, and harnessing the power, creativity, and inspiration of every changemaker in the charitable sector who does good to do it better

NEW will be there, and we hope you will, too. As a proud event partner, we're excited to share an exclusive code for $100 off non-member registration rates. When you register, simply enter the code NEWFF to apply the discount.

Our Common Future is co-sponsored by Independent Sector, Council of Michigan Foundations and Michigan Nonprofit Association. With headline speakers like Mo Rocca and Kristen Tippett, inspiring experiences like the reception at The Henry Ford, cultural exploration opportunities like the Detroit Experience, and the chance to deep-dive into sessions covering a huge variety of causes, this is an event not to miss!
