Join us for Fall work parties to help remove invasive plants from Cozine Creek on Linfield Campus. And learn about efforts to prepare the Cozine Creek ravine for future plantings of native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and grasses.

Help us be good stewards of Cozine Creek
Brought to you by the
Greater Yamhill Watershed Council, and
Linfield College
You Bring: 
  • Water Bottle
  • Wear long-sleeves, long-pants, and closed-toed shooes
  • Dress for weather (rain or shine), mud, wet, and brush/blackberry
  • Optional: Bring your favorite work gloves and cutting/digging tool for weeds. Or you can use ours!

GYWC & Linfield Will Provide
  • Work Gloves
  • Tools for cutting and digging out invasive weeds
  • Snacks and Water
  • Educational Presentation about local natural resources
 
What You'll Learn About 
  • Local Habitats, Fish, and Wildlife in the Yamhill and Chehalem Valleys
  • How Linfield College and the GYWC are working together to help our community be good stewards of Cozine Creek
  • Methods for Controlling Invasive Blackberry and English Ivy
