Training System Address Change

As previewed in our past few newsletters, we have changed our name this week to AEA Learning Online.  This means that the Training System is now accessible at https://training.aealearningonline.org.

If you or your employees go to https://training.aeapdonline.org, you might be presented with a very scary warning.  Here is what it looks like in Google Chrome:

Egads!

Rest assured, we are not attempting to steal information or credit cards.  We are attempting to re-establish the re-direct from the old site to the new site, as to avoid this experience.  In the meantime, you will want to make sure that you are using an updated set of directions with staff on how to access the Training System.

Speaking of which...

We have updated our directions for the site.  You can download a copy today here (and the link will stay the same, even when we update the directions each summer).

Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Training

Though it isn't on the Training System (yet), AEA Learning Online does have available Red Cross' e-curriculum for First Aid, CPR, and AED training.  This 3 hour online training is simulation based, featuring hands-on activities and a learn-through experience in a virtual environment model.

The e-curriculum can be used in conjunction with a local trained instructor for blended learning delivery, as students can go through the self-paced e-curriculum on their own and then demonstrate their skills with the instructor.  This can lead to the Red Cross certification in these areas, and helps meet requirements for the Healthy Kids Act.

The e-curriculum is available now on our K-12 Moodle server.  If you would like to use the e-curriculum with your staff or students and need assistance getting started, please contact our support desk for more information.
