What a whirlwind of a Fall semester it's been so far! The Hables have been...well...busy
- We helped run a mission trip to the U of I
- We've run a round of our Foundations membership course
- We've had a teaching helping students look freshly at Christianity
- We've been in different student small groups while swapping baby duty
and...
- We've been hard at work prepping for our Fall Retreat!
We see our Retreat as a catalytic event every year for our students and we think of it as an all church bonding weekend (as you can see above).
This year, for the first time ever, the Hables are in charge of the Retreat and it's at Little Galilee Christian Camp outside of Clinton, IL (which happens to be Alan's home town).
We'd love for your prayers for the Retreat weekend. Here are a few prompts:
- That unity would reign in our marriage. It's easy when running an event to let stress rule.
- That God would move in the lives of our church family.
- That people would feel better connected to God and to one another.
As well, those of you who are in and around Clinton, if you wanted to stop by, we'd love to say hi. The weekend is full, but it'd be great to have partners see what we do.
The Retreat is Friday evening through Sunday at lunch time and we'd love your prayers throughout the weekend.
