Message from the President

Padraig Walsh

Dear colleagues,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 academic year!

This issue brings news from September’s Board meeting and includes contributions from ENQA’s Brussels-based partners. Members from the Netherlands and Romania have taken this opportunity to share plans for improving the quality assurance of higher education in their respective countries, and two reports are featured – one having to do with the recognition of foreign qualifications, and the other concerning the current realities for academic staff working within European higher education.

Kindly take note of the approaching registration deadline for the European Quality Assurance Forum, and please consider contributing to our understanding of how the quality of work-based learning is assured by participating in the short survey mentioned below.

As members of the association will be electing a new President at the upcoming General Assembly, I would like to sincerely thank you for your contributions and support. It has been a privilege to serve as a Board Member for the past six years and as your President for the past four. I look forward to continuing to partake in the activities of the association in the future.

Sincerely,

Padraig Walsh
President of ENQA
