Many to thank for our Wildlife Habitat Plantings last weekend!

Once again, some amazing volunteers helped us plant native trees and shrubs for National Public Lands Day, to improve wildlife habitat, reduce erosion, and beautify the park!

Special thanks to Seven Stones Cafe for donating delicious coffee, and Pit Stop Pizza & Steaks for donating an amazing 3'x3' pizza to fuel our volunteers!

Thank you to Delaware County Parks & Recreation, the Delaware County Conservation District, Taylor Memorial Arboretum, Garden Influence, Redbud Native Plant Nursery, and our donors for making the plantings possible. And, of course, those wonderful volunteers.

Details & photos in the link.

Don't have time for a hike, but need a little nature break? Take a virtual hike and tour of Glen Providence Park watching a mesmerizing 4-minute video by Brent Hinkle! He shared it on our Facebook page this week. It nicely blends drone and trail footage, and ends with an enchanting aerial shot of Media Borough from the park, with the moon overhead.

We'll be back soon with more fall news... Follow us on facebook and our website to stay posted.

Enjoy the park!
