Hi there --
Recently, the season of forgiveness came. And it made me think about you.
In Judaism, we spend 10 days each year reflecting on our behavior. We ask others for forgiveness, and then ask God to forgive us, too. And begin anew.
This year, I felt there was someone missing from that whole forgiveness equation -- you.
Looking back, I felt that I used to do a better job of asking you for input on what you needed from me. Specifically, what kind of content Make a Living Writing could publish that would help you most.
Since my Freelance Writers Den learning and support community opened in 2011, though, things have been going about 1,000 mph nonstop around here.
I rushed to try to help more writers earn more, faster, since that's my mission.
It was based on what I thought I knew about your needs, from past input. And help we certainly did, based on the many success stories and positive emails I've received.
But over time, little warning signs appeared that I need to get to know you better -- and serve you more efficiently.
Stray messages like "You're sending too many emails!" would pop up. For instance. Ouch!
While we've kept right on delivering tons of free, useful information each month, we seemed to have too many different things to sell. And did an increasingly poor job at telling you about the merits of each one, in the race to get ready for the next thing.
That's why I'd like to ask for your forgiveness, if I lost my way. I had good intentions, but things got a little nuts.
