Eliot Bronsoneliotbronson.com
…Eliot Bronson’s latest self-titled album is an Americana gem. Produced by Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson), Eliot Bronson is a poetic blend of urban coffee house and outskirts-of-town saloon. His deeply emotional lyrics about a wide range of topics have earned the former member of The Brilliant Inventions a host of songwriting awards for good reason.”— Josh Jackson Paste Magazine

“One of the key up-and-coming songwriters in the Americana scene.” – Brice Ezell Pop Matters
“It’s always exciting to discover an artist of this caliber, and given the fact Bronson’s just now coming into his own, even more accolades seem destined to follow. Eliot Bronson not only reflects well on this gifted singer/songwriter, but it also bodes well for the fame that’s sure to follow.” – Lee Zimmerman Elmore Magazine

Eliot Bronson was a member of folk favs The Brilliant Inventions. The Atlanta Music Guide says: “Eliot Bronson is the type of songwriter who could squeeze out something meaningful about taking out the trash. He writes heartfelt songs with dark humor and backs them with his resonant voice and swampy instruments.” Georgia Music Magazine notes: “He can pull at your heartstrings like nobody’s business.” Coming up, in his native town of Baltimore, Maryland The Baltimore Sun called him a “a folk singing wunderkind.” He has won such esteemed songwriting awards as first place at Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest and Eddie Owen Presents “Songwriter Shootout,” and he’s been a finalist at Kerrville Folk Festival, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Songwriting Contest, and New Song Contest Lincoln Center NYC.

Crushed Coins, his new album out in late 2017, was recorded in both Los Angeles and Nashville and produced by Caudle in collaboration with long-time engineer Jon Ashley (Avett Brothers, Band of Horses, Hiss Golden Messenger, War on Drugs).

“In a just world, he would be on every country radio station.”- Bitter Southerner
“Evocative and impressionistic Southern lyricism, wrapped in an impeccable mix of vintage and contemporary country sounds.” – Paste

“Do not miss him.” – Southern Living

“Hands down one of the best records you’ll hear in Roots, Americana, Country, and Pop in 2016.” – No Depression

Roy Book Binder & Doug MacLeod  - Sep 9, 2017 @ 8:00 PM - THE CARY THEATER.

Hello Live Music Fans:

2017 Blues Foundation Music Award Winner and internationally touring artist Doug MacLeod will join long time TV, radio and stage performer Roy Book Binder at The Cary Theater on September 9, 2017. Tickets and info at www.SixStringPresents.com. These 2 experienced entertainers put on a terrific show of story telling, guitar work, and the sangin' the blues.

Doug MacLeod
www.doug-macleod.com

MacLeod is known for his superb songwriting, guitar wizardry, warm soulful vocals, wit and unforgettable live performances. At the heart of a Doug MacLeod performance is his knack for storytelling, bringing characters-from the faceless to the legendary-to strikingly real life.

Doug is a multiple Blues Music Award winner, most recently the 2017 Blues Music Award for Acoustic Artist Of The Year and the Blues Blast Music Award for Male Artist Of The Year.

He is an international touring artist who writes and sings original songs that are based on his own life and experiences. He learned from the old masters and carries forward a valuable tradition.

As a youth Doug overcame abuse and a crippling stutter by turning to music. After picking up a guitar, and singing - he found his voice.

MacLeod's playing landed him sideman gigs with George 'Harmonica' Smith, Big Joe Turner, Pee Wee Crayton, Eddie 'Cleanhead' Vinson, Lowell Fulson and Big Mama Thornton. Over 30 years, 21 studio albums, several live records, compilations, a blues guitar instructional DVD and a live performance DVD, MacLeod has consistently earned raves. His songs have been covered by many artists including Albert King, Albert Collins, Joe Louis Walker and Eva Cassidy. MacLeod's songs have been featured in many TV movies and the hit show In the Heat of the Night. August Wilson requested his soulful slide guitar playing in the Los Angeles opening of "Gem of the Ocean”.

From 1999 to 2004 Doug hosted Nothin' But The Blues, a very popular weekend blues show on Los Angeles' KLON-KKJZ. He has also been the voice for The Blues Showcase on Continental Airlines. For ten years he penned "Doug's Back Porch," a regular feature column in Blues Revue Magazine in which he shared his humorous and insightful stories with thousands of readers. He is one of the four featured artists in the movie “Resonate: A Guitar Story”, the feature documentary on the making of National Guitars.

Like the old masters who taught him, MacLeod's music expresses life and times through an intangible, elusive quality that may simply be a keen sense of what matters most. Doug’s music, stories, and philosophy provide a healing that has helped others overcome the hardships of their lives.
