Registration
Please register online using Rank One Sport by clicking here and be sure to check and see if you submitted physical exam and medical history forms to La Salle’s athletic office within the last two years. If so, your eligibility will reflect the proper date and list you as eligible once all the forms are submitted. If the system shows you have not submitted a physical or it expired, you must receive a physical exam, complete the medical history form and submit these to the Athletic office by Thursday, November 9th. Practices begin Monday, November 13th.
Spring
We are wrapping up the interview process and will announce new coaches in the sports of baseball, girls’ tennis, softball, boys’ golf, softball and lacrosse very soon. Stay tuned for these exciting announcements.
Awards
La Salle is beginning a new tradition this year with respect to athletic success and notable achievements acquired throughout the year by all teams. It will be an awards ceremony similar to the ESPY’s and Oregon Sports Awards, but it will be unique to La Salle and possess a true Lasallian spirit. On Wednesday, June 6th in the gymnasium the athletic office will be hosting this awards ceremony to celebrate significant achievements throughout the year amongst all teams and programs with special announcements, highlights, and guest speakers.
Each program is still encouraged to host an end of season banquet at the appropriate time in order to gather together, celebrate the season, distribute awards, award varsity letters and participation certificates, honor graduating seniors and thank parents for their support. These will be scheduled by coaches with parental support, so please be on the lookout for information regarding fall sport end-of-season celebrations.

Are You a Match?
Attention Nike employees - Nike will double match your contribution to La Salle if you designate money for sports or fitness. You can turn a $100 gift into a $300 gift instantly, for example. All other gifts will be matched by Nike 1:1.
Many companies match charitable donations. We invite alumni, parents, and friends to seek these additional funds, stretching the financial impact of a donation.
The process is easy. Your company’s HR Director will supply you with the form you need to double – and in some cases triple – your donation.
Nike, PCC, Nordstrom, Intel, Wells Fargo, The Standard, and Hanna Andersson are just a few of the companies that will bolster your investment in La Salle.
If you have questions, call Carol McClory, Director of Alumni Engagement and Development, at 971.506.4102 or email her at cmcclory@lsprep.org.
All of us at La Salle are grateful for your ongoing partnership in support of our mission!

Student Service in Action
Lasallians took a break from lunch Thursday to perform “60 Seconds of Service” by writing notes to Lot Whitcomb Elementary students who get weekend meals and snacks through the Backpack Buddies program. The messages, written on brown paper bags, included Halloween wishes and reminders to “Have a great day!”

Photos of the Week
Above: Students showed plenty of spirit and enthusiasm this week as they celebrated Homecoming with dress-up days, mass, and a fundraiser for breast cancer. Join us for the Homecoming football game tonight at 7pm and watch as we celebrate the Homecoming Court and crown a King and Queen. The week culminates with the Homecoming dance on Saturday night. Below: Mr. Oey's Freshman Falcon Formation class on RED/BLUE day during Homecoming Week. Perhaps the fact the class wore matching RIP CITY T-shirts brought the Portland Trail Blazers luck; that night, in Phoenix, the Trail Blazers beat the Phoenix Suns 124-76. Photo by Linus Oey

Innovation and Design Center Now Open
La Salle's M.J. Murdock Innovation and Design Center opened this week. Located next to the Hamersly Library, the center features a large format printer, a 3-D printer, a laser cutter, sewing machines, a T-shirt printer, and more.
Students and staff have already fired up some of the equipment to make posters and 3-D chess pieces. Teachers plan to use the tools to make more educational tools, such as 3-D replicas of the brain.
Thanks to the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust for their support.
