Creative Arts at UCSF Benioff Children's San Francisco

The Creative Arts team at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital San Francisco met last week for a vision retreat, and we have big plans!

But for now, here is a little update from the TV Studio, Art Therapy, and Music Therapy. Thank you for your ongoing support of the creative arts. Art heals!

TV Studio

Live shows, expressive storytelling, interactive games and more! Kaleidoscope is the Child Life Channel and TV Studio. Patients and families enjoy connection, creativity, and community through the colorful world of TV!

With the talents of patients, families, and staff we are adding Radio Kaleidoscope to our offerings where kids become DJs, connect playing games, and listen to their favorite songs. Check it all out on the Child Life Creative Arts blog at bchcreativearts.org!
 

Art Therapy

This Saturday from 12:00-4:00 Benioff Children’s Hospital artists will be showing a large display of artwork in our BCH Lobby.  Come and see patient’s artwork, have some cookies and carrot sticks, and socialize!  
 
SF Open Art Studio’s  is part of a larger city-event, where many art studio’s open in our neighbored within walking distance, it’s a great weekend activity to do with friends: go into many private studio’s, meet artists, buy reasonably priced artwork and eat lots of snacks :) We are part of Weekend 3:

Music Therapy

We are excited to introduce our newest member of the team, Jenny Goldhammer! Jenny comes to us from the East Coast and brings a tremendous skill set to our hospital.
