God has blessed us in so many ways with a beautiful campus and resources to do amazing ministry and support local and global missions. It is easy in the wake of tragedies and fires to lose sight of God’s provision. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 reminds us to “Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

The Best Gift I Ever Got

My daughter and I were having a conversation last week and she was telling me the three best gifts she ever got. The letterman jacket we gave her in high school topped the list. That started me thinking about gifts. I’m not really a gifts person. I never know what to give or get. My husband gave me a mop bucket and wringer once, so I don’t think gifts are his forte either. But all three of us would agree Jesus is really the best gift we have ever gotten. My mom is the one who “gave” me this gift by talking about Jesus and taking me to church and introducing me to the One who now inhabits every aspect of my life. Jesus is a gift I want others to have too.

During the Christmas season, we have opportunities to give the best gift our friends and family could ever get. One of those here at EvFree is Christmas BLVD and A Walk Through Bethlehem. This event is designed to be a place where folks can come and enjoy time on our campus, where they can grab a bite from a food truck, roll around in a life-sized hamster ball, enjoy a concert and lots of other fun family events like sledding or a horse-drawn carriage ride. Back again this year will be...

Congregational Meeting

Sunday, November 5, 3:00pm, Worship Center

A lot has happened since our last congregational meeting and it’s time for an update and communication about some important things. Our Pastor, Darin, has been with us for just over five months now and will have some things to say about his time here so far. We will cover some of our staff changes, celebrate some of the great things that God is doing at EvFree, and update you on our financial situation. We also hope to be able to introduce you to our next Nominating Committee. We are getting the process of affirming elders started early to give all of us plenty of time to process and discuss.

One last thing—if we are able, we will do a walk-through of the D-Amphitheater and have pens for you to sign your name and/or blessings on the floor before we resurface it. Please mark your calendars for Sunday, November 5 at 3:00pm in the Worship Center. The elders will remain after the meeting to talk and fellowship with you while we all enjoy Rita’s Italian Ice!

Join Men's Collective

Imagine something you love—mountain biking, working on cars, drinking good coffee, or watching football. What if you could get to know other men at EvFree while doing something you enjoy? We are looking to launch a few men’s collectives designed around the idea that men connect best over a shared experience. If you would be interested in leading or joining a men’s collective email Joel Elwood at joel.elwood@evfreefullerton.com.
