Hot Rod Reunion—Three Days of Nitro-fueled Fun!

Here come the Fuelers—and tons of other great drag cars from a bygone era. Very rarely can you get so close to the machines that helped shape the sport of drag racing, like the "Howard Cams Rattler," pictured here after last year's Cacklefest wound down at the California Hot Rod Reunion.
This weekend hundreds of vintage drag cars will be taking over Auto Club Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield for the annual NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion. Now in its 26th year, the event runs from today, October 20th, until Sunday, October 22nd, and brings in some of the country’s best slingshots, Gassers, Altereds, Funny Cars, and hot rods to the track for an action-packed weekend.

From Nostalgia Top Fuel and Funny Car showdowns to the world-renowned Cacklefest on Saturday evening, there’s never a quiet moment at the Hot Rod Reunion. As a spectator, you’re given almost unlimited access to the pits, allowing you to take in the sights, sounds and smells of drag racing’s Golden Age. This year, the NHRA has named Top Fuel driver-turned starter Rick “The Iceman” Stewart as the grand marshal, and they’re also honoring Pete Eastwood, Bill Holland, Bob Lambeck, Bob Panella Sr. and Jimmy Scott.

We’ll have our fully stocked Rodder’s Journal booth in the vendor area all weekend long, so make sure to stop by to do some shopping or just to say hi. For those who can’t make it to Bakersfield for the Hot Rod Reunion, you can still shop online here or give us a call at (800) 750-9550 in the United States, (877) 479-2627 in Canada or (650) 246-8920 internationally. We’ll be posting updates to our Instagram and Facebook, so make sure to stay tuned so you don’t miss any of the high-horsepower happenings. For additional info about tickets, click here

Your Friends at The Rodder’s Journal
We managed to snap this shot of our booth before the crowds rolled in at last year's CHRR. Look for the TRJ tent in the vendor area!
There are more than just competition machines at the CHRR. This good-looking lineup includes John Barnes' '37 Lincoln-Zephyr, Brandon Flaner's '39 Ford, Ryan Reed's '37 Ford and Geoff Miles' '39 Ford Standard.
