Final Call for Content: NTGISC's 8th Annual Conference
Call for Presenters Closing This Friday October the 13th
The conference committee is currently seeking speakers and welcomes the submissions of individual papers/presentations, complete sessions, panels, and workshops. Submissions will now be accepted until close of business Friday, October 13, 2017. Complimentary registrations are available for presenters and volunteers.
All presenters will receive a complimentary conference registration.
Digital Tribal GIS Map Gallery Submissions Closing This Friday October the 13th
At the 2017 Tribal GIS Conference, we'll be assembling a digital display of the very best maps and other displays that the Indian Country has to offer, and we want you to be a part of it. GIS professionals from all disciplines within the industry are encouraged to submit their work for display in our Digital Tribal GIS Map Gallery at SIPI. We encourage you to show off your best recent cartographic projects, from experimental techniques to finished products. Each year we learn a lot from the amazing work of our colleagues, and in 2017 we'll be looking to continue that trend.
Conference registration is required. To ensure your entry inclusion, abstracts for digital posters must be received by close of business Friday, October 13, 2017.
The Details:
• Submit an abstract to gcouch@tribalgis.com by October 13, which includes the following information:
o Map/Poster Title
o Abstract (1500 words or less)
o Presenter(s) Name & Title
o Tribe/Company/Organization Name(s)
• This year we will have the maps displayed in digital format.
• Conference registration and attendance is required.
• Check with Tribal GIS to ensure your digital map poster is received.
• Submissions will be displayed in the designated area the morning of Wednesday, November 15 and continue to be displayed through to Thursday, November 16. Judging will be conducted by Tribal GIS conference attendees. Only one voting ballot per attendee will count towards the judging.
• 1st, 2nd & 3rd Places will be given for Best Digital Map Poster. Winners will be announced during the closing session on Friday, November 17, 2017. You do not have to be present to win.
• Earn points towards GISP Certification for participation.
o Display map poster at conference - CON 1 point
o Place in Map Gallery - CON 2 points

All work must be original. Non-monetary prizes will be offered to winners.
