MCE in Contra Costa
In April 2018, MCE will become the primary electricity provider in Concord, Danville, Martinez, Moraga, Oakley, Pinole, Pittsburg, San Ramon, and unincorporated Contra Costa County. MCE already provides service to the Contra Costa residents and businesses of El Cerrito, Lafayette, San Pablo, Richmond, and Walnut Creek. Check out the benefits of being an MCE community here!
San Jose’s New CAP focuses on the Paris Accord
San Jose, California revealed its new and ambitious sustainability and climate action plan, which is set to be adopted beginning 2018. New Report on Cities Combating Climate Change: Focus
McKinsey & Company released a report this week with an intriguing approach for cities to fight climate: don't do everything.
"If city leaders drift around, changing out some street lights, opening a bike lane, creating a new transit app, they will end up producing lots of press releases but insufficient emission reductions. McKinsey says: focus. Most of the results will come from a few top priorities."

The World Bank announced today that in 2019 it will stop financing projects exploring and extracting oil and natural gas. Learn more here.
