The plight of the Rohingya community continues. I opened up the New York Times today and there it was on the front page again. The line that gripped me was about Rajuma – a beautiful Rohingya woman whose family was wiped away and who was gang raped. Reporter Jeff Gettleman wrote, ‘Rajuma is a Rohingya Muslim, one of the most persecuted ethnic groups on earth, and she now spends her days drifting through a refugee camp in Bangladesh in a daze…’
Yes, we want to get Relief to Rajuma but how about making her Resilient again? We need to get Rajuma to stand on her feet and embrace life. We need to help her and her community today and tomorrow. We need to bring peace back. We need to push forward with the
#PeaceCan campaign.
