Many Members of Congress try to fix a problem without proper research or sufficient data. While their intentions are good, without evidence or data involved in their decisions they are just throwing tax dollars at a problem hoping for a solution.
Congress should use the budget process to begin tackling our biggest long-term issue, the national debt. The last thing Congress should do is feed the elephant.
