The Quality Improvement Center for Workforce Development (QIC-WD) is building knowledge to strengthen the child welfare workforce.

Eight child welfare agencies were recently selected to partner with the QIC-WD and test evidence-informed workforce interventions.

Navigating the Evidence

The QIC-WD is navigating the existing evidence from the child welfare and other fields to answer tough questions related to “what works?” to reduce turnover and improve workforce outcomes. QIC-WD is developing a catalog of evidence-based strategies to recruit, hire, and retain a competent workforce.
