Fall is here and as usual, it is a very inspiring time for a colorist like myself. This is a good thing because I'm spending a lot of time outdoors painting on the spot and preparing for an exhibition! The exhibition will be held at Gallery 78, opening on November 3rd. I am looking forward to sharing my latest paintings with all of you.

Earlier this summer, I was invited to paint some amazing landscapes on the rugged shores of Lake Superior as part of a project with Nature Conservancy of Canada. By the way, Roberts Gallery just celebrated their 175th anniversary! I was honored by being asked to contribute one of my paintings as part of the contemporary portion of this celebratory exhibition that was on display from September 28th to October 7th.

Il y aussi un documentaire qui est en cours de production et paraîtra à la fin de l'automne à l'émission La semaine verte, diffusée sur Radio Canada. Il a été préparé par Benoît Livernoche et traite des voyageurs de rivières. J’y suis mis en vedette en tant qu’artiste dont les cours d’eau lui sont une source d’inspiration.

Finalement, gardez l'oeil pour un article consacré à mon art qui paraîtra cet automne dans la revue Arabella, une revue dédiée aux artistes et à la promotion de talents créatifs.

I will also be part of another documentary which is at its final stages of production and is due to come out near the end of autumn. The subject of this documentary revolves around modern river runners, and I’m featured as an artist inspired by rivers. It is created by Benoît Livernoche and will air on the TV show La Semaine Verte  from Radio Canada (in French).

Finally, keep an eye out this fall for an article about me in the Arabella magazine. This magazine is dedicated to supporting and promoting creative talents.

Je vous partagerai mon nouveau sujet d’inspiration: la vue à partir de mon quai! Vivre sur le bord d'un lac et pouvoir partir pagayer sur un coup de tête a longtemps été mon rêve. Soyez rassuré, mes oeuvres continuent d'être disponibles à la Gallery 78 (Fredericton, N.-B.), à Roberts Gallery (Toronto, Ont), et à Les ateliers d'après nature.  Mon site internet (rejean.ca) a tout récemment connu une mise à jour artistique. Laissez-moi savoir ce que vous en pensez!
