Co-creator of The Red Green Show shares personal experience, strategies for dealing with ADHD

October 13, 2017

Rick Green, comedian and co-creator of The Red Green Show, will use humour and cutting-edge research in a free presentation at the University of Waterloo next week on strategies to deal with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Green, a Distinguished Alumnus of Renison University College at the University of Waterloo, was diagnosed with ADHD in his late forties.  On October 17, in a presentation entitled, “Earning a Degree with ADHD,” he will discuss tools and strategies to help students and other adults succeed at university and in life. The event is part of Invisible Disabilities Week.

Green is an advocate and educator on the subject of ADHD, creating award-winning documentaries on the subject and the educational website TotallyADD.com. He works to equip those living with ADHD with knowledge and tools to help them be successful, and educate others to remove the stigma and misinformation around ADHD. He is a Member of both the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario, and received the Transforming Lives Award from the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

The Red Green Show ran for 15 seasons.
