New Certificate of Confidentiality Guidelines from NIH

Effective October 1, 2017, all ongoing or new research funded wholly or in part by NIH as of December 13, 2016, that is collecting or using identifiable, sensitive information is automatically issued a Certificate of Confidentiality as a term and condition of NIH grant awards.  More information regarding this new policy, including the scopes of research now protected by such Certificates, is available by clicking here.  

Subaward Determination Form as an Attachment in the Checklist Request

As a friendly reminder, please be certain to attach the dual signed (i.e. unit and JHURA) copy of the SUB DETERMINATION FORM to the Checklist request. The dual signed form should have been provided by JHURA and uploaded to the COEUS record after submission of the proposal. If you do not have the dual signed form, please provide the completed and PI signed form, and the Subaward Team can sign for JHURA.

Termination Notice in X Train for Federal Awards (BSPH Only)

For Bloomberg personnel, please route all Termination Notices in eRA Commons to Patrick Cornelison in the Finance Office.

Intake Sheet Information

When submitting an agreement for review through the online Intake Form, please be sure to include the sponsor name, as failure to do so will result in delays in triage and review of your submission.

Receipt of Payment from Sponsors

JHURA still regularly receives sponsored projects payments that are being delivered directly to our office.  Please note that JHURA does not process these payments, and otherwise should not be receiving them.  Instead, departments are urged to reference the appropriate Accounts Receivable – Billings Policies and Procedures as outlined on the University’s website.
