Goyo Travel - Inspirational Journeys to Mongolia
NEW FOR 2018

We've just clocked up our 200th trip of this year, and as things start to wind down for the season, we're now looking forward to next year. All our 2018 group tour dates are now up on our website, so for all of you who have had a Mongolia trip on your radar for a while but haven't quite made that steppe to book a trip with us, now is your chance! We've done some fine-tuning of old favourites, added extra departure dates to popular trips to provide more choice, and of course there are some fantastic new additions to our portfolio.

Our ever-popular Colours of Naadam has had a complete revamp, and has been split into 2 separate trips -
Southern Sands & Northern Lakes. The first trip explores the vast desert wilderness of the Gobi to include some little-visited but stunning areas such as Ikh Nart, combined with the must-see highlights such as Bayanzag and Khongoryn Els, including local nomadic homestays, eco-lodges and ger camps. The second trip heads west to central Mongolia and up North to the forested hills and lakes of Terkhiin Tsagaan Nuur & Khovsgol, with forays to the lesser-visited parts of the Orkhon Valley, and the Delger River Basin. On both trips you can experience Mongolia's famous annual cultural festival - Naadam - in provincial villages where you can enjoy the action in a smaller, more intimate setting.

We are offering a 10% early bird discount for bookings on both tours until end of November! Click here to request full itinerary and to book your place, or email

PHOTO COMPETITION 2017

Have you visited Mongolia on one of our trips in 2017? If you did, you will most likely have a memory card jam-packed with hundreds of photos from Mongolia. Don't let them sit idly on your device though, because if you have some hidden gems you could be in line to win some fantastic prizes.

Send your best shots to info@goyotravel.com for your chance to win a handcrafted Mongolian felt carpet, a traditional wall-hanging or some ger-embroidered table mats - perfect for you to serve sheep-tail and boiled mutton to your guests on during Mongolian-themed evenings. The competition is open to all 2017 guests. Deadline for entry is 31st October. So get editing!

TRAVELLER SPOTLIGHT - FAMILY ADVENTURE

Mongolia is an ideal family destination, and for kids of all ages. From running down sand dunes, riding camels, tending to baby goats, rafting, traditional archery, to dumpling-making, dressing like a Mongol warrior at the 13th Century camp and climbing up the Chinggis Khaan statue, there is something for all the family. Not to mention the unforgettable experience of staying in gers under endless star-filled skies. However, don't take our word for it - Hong Kong resident Elissa Imran travelled to Mongolia with her husband and two young children with Goyo Travel this year and shares with us the ins and outs of what to expect when travelling with children in Mongolia. Read her story here.

We handcraft every family trip to suit your needs and interests, but a good starting point is our Family Adventure trip. So, ditch the beach holiday next summer and come to Mongolia!
MONGOLIA'S MAGICAL MONASTERIES

Mongolia's Buddhist monasteries form a key part of the country's national identity. For Mongolians they hold great religious and cultural significance but for outsiders they offer a spiritual experience combining the smell of incense, the sounds of monks chanting and scenic mountaintop settings. Click here to see our list of the most magical monasteries in Mongolia you can visit on our trips.
