Dear JWF Community:

We are pleased to share the Advocacy Committee's October update, highlighting JWF grantees and the issues that impact Jewish women and girls. For more frequent updates, please follow us on our Facebook page.

The Jewish holiday of Sukkot, which just ended, is referred to by some as the "Feast of Vulnerability." It is a time when the source of our sustenance, harvest and shelter, is celebrated and its fragility is acknowledged.

JWF recognizes that despite the Foundation's 20 years of progress, the status of women and girls around the world is still fragile and vulnerable. The work of social change can sometimes feel like drops in a bucket of inequality, but JWF continues working towards justice and equality for women and girls. As Martin Luther King Jr. reminded us, "the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice”.

As always, please feel free to pass along any content you would like us to share with our community of trustees, grantees, and partners. We love to hear from you!

Fondly,
Sue Rifas, Advocacy Committee Chair
Amy Saltzman, Program Officer
