Please read through this email for details and important information about what's happening this week for our Samohi Choirs, as we prepare for our upcoming concert event.

We look forward to seeing all of our Samohi Choir students perform during our Sweet Serenade concert in just one week, on Saturday, October 21^st at 6:00pm in the Centennial Plaza at Samohi!

This is a ticketed performance, and our biggest fundraising event of the year. Tickets are $20, and include concert admission, plus dinner & dessert.

TICKETS WILL NOT BE SOLD AT THE DOOR,
and TICKET SALES END TUESDAY, 10/17.

Our five award-winning ensembles, directed by Jeffe Huls, will be singing together for the first time this year, and performing popular hits on the Centennial Plaza stage:

This special evening is a wonderful opportunity for Samohi Choir families to come together and support our students, and it's a great way to meet and get to know other families from our choral music program.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS & PARENTS

VOLUNTEERING
Every Samohi Choir student must sign up for a volunteer shift to help with this event. More information and volunteer shift signups will be announced in choir classes this week.

We will want as many parents as possible to stay at the end to help break down and clean up....many hands make light work.

SPIRITWEAR / PERFORMANCE ATTIRE

For Sweet Serenade, Samohi Choir students are asked to wear their NAVY Samohi Choir Spiritwear T-shirt or Sweatshirt.
If you ordered a new spiritwear T-shirt or Sweatshirt, they will be delivered during class this week.
Students may also choose to wear a button down shirt and slacks, or a dress (not the choir dress).

REHEARSAL
All Samohi Choir students are exepcted to attend the after school rehearsal and walk-through at 3:30pm this Friday, October 20th. More details for performers will be sent home later this week.

All proceeds go toward supporting the students in the choral music program at Santa Monica High School.

Auction items are still being accepted, and we need every choir family to contribute at least one item in order to make our fundraising goals this year.

Our fundraising efforts are important - please don't ignore this request. You can help by printing out forms and letters, and giving them to restaurants, hotels, and businesses you patronize!

Our auction co-chairs have a wish list:

1) Premier seats at any major L.A. sporting events, including box seats

2) Tickets for performances at any concert or theater venues

3) Walk-on/extra roles on TV shows

4) Tickets to live TV tapings

5) Tickets to local amusement parks

6) Vegas Packages – Tickets, Hotels

7) Palm Springs Hotels, Restaurants

8) Coachella, Oldchella, Stagecoach, BottleRock, Burning Man, Bonnaroo, etc.
9) Gift certificates to nice restaurants
10) Hotel stays

Donation letters and forms can be found online HERE, and extras can also be picked up in the choir room.
