Homecoming & Future Blue 
Jay Night is Thursday

Homecoming & Future Blue Jay Night is this Thursday, Oct. 19. Eakin and Sylvan Park students get in to the football game free. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. Activities and giveaways for future Blue Jays! Homecoming Court and 8th grade Queen and King will be presented at half-time. Don't miss it!         


Voting for Homecoming Court is Monday
Voting for the Homecoming Court will take place Monday, Oct. 16. Students can vote for one boy and girl representative from grades 5, 6 and 7, and three boys and girls for grade 8. If selected for Homecoming Court, your child will receive notification by the end of the day.
 
Pictures of the Court will be taken prior to the Homecoming football game on Thursday, Oct. 19. Those selected for the Court will need to be at school dressed and ready for pictures at 5 p.m. They will be presented on the football field during half-time, along with the 8th grade King and Queen.
 
If your child is selected, please understand that this is not a formal event. YOU DO NOT have to purchase anything new or special for your child to wear. They may wear what is comfortable and nice for them and what you feel is picture appropriate. 
 


         

Spirit Week is here!

Standard School Attire is waived if students participate in Spirit Week activities Oct. 16-20.They are as follows:

Movie Character Monday - Dress as your favorite movie character. Plan with friends to make a group. Absolutely no masks are allowed.

Tacky Tourist Tuesday - Tacky day with a twist—put all the worst dressed tourists to the test with your outfit.

“We Wear Pink on Wednesdays" - Show your support for the fight against cancer and dress from head to toe in pink.

Throw-down Thursday - Deck the halls with blue and grey and wear your West Wear.

Flashback Friday - This will be a grade level contest. Grade levels will dress based on decade: 5th— '50s; 6th— '60s; 7th— '70s; 8th— '80s.
 

Your help is needed!
The school auction/mixer is in December, we anyone with auction items or connections to items should e-mail Nikki Northern at allonte@hotmail.com. We need volunteers to help, as well. Contact erinbeller@me.com.

We are looking for volunteers to help with Unicycle clothing closet and the auction/mixer.
