1. Mark the mandrel at appropriate ring size. Place the transparent tape on the mandrel with the sticky side facing out.
2. Place broken piece(s) of the wax ring pattern on the tape/mandrel. This will help hold the broken wax in place while repairing.
3. Use the Matt Speedy Wax Pen to tack the broken pieces in place and join, creating a superficial bond.
4. Use the pen to pick up scrap wax of the same formula as your pattern and add/build-up at the joints. For a strong bond, penetrate the wax as far as possible with the tip of the pen.
Note: When building up, be sure to add a little extra wax to the surface so that you leave yourself room for filing and finishing.
5. When the outside is thoroughly joined, remove the pattern from the mandrel and repeat the process on the inside and sides of the pattern. Apply extra wax to the inside and sides as well.
Once the wax cools, it is ready for filing and finishing!
