Maker spaces and making are all the rage in the country these days. The Edgerton Center has been doing exactly this for 25 years giving MIT students space, tools, and support. MIT Motorsports takes second in electric competition

Renovations are complete in the Student Project Lab (4-409). The lab and Area 51 comprise two of the 12 MakerLodges on campus, an initiative of Prof. Marty Culpepper that provides students with the tools and training for making.
