As we move through the fall, our County Greenprint training sessions transitioning from introductory training to advanced training. You still have a few opportunities to participate in one of our introductory sessions before they wrap up. The introductory training is a prerequisite for the advanced training, so hone your basic skills now in preparation for the advanced training sessions in 2018.

The Cuyahoga County Greenprint is a set of web-based planning and mapping tools for reaching this sustainable balance. Current users include planners, service directors, city council members, and interested citizens. Educators are using it in the classroom for design and civics. Find out how you can use the County Greenprint to make your school, home, and community a place thriving with both business and nature.

Greenprint training sessions are open to all. Participants will learn how to use the mapping tool, access best practices, and create basic customized maps. We're adding new functionality, so stay tuned for additional training sessions in 2018.

About the Greenprint

The Greenprint is an easy to use, web-based tool loaded with visual data of the county’s natural assets and supplemented with real estate, census, and other quantitative information. Planning, economic development, and other public service professionals are already using this tool, as are university and environmental group staff.

County Planning created a video tutorial covering the basics of using the Greenprint. If you're planning to attend the training session, we recommend that you prepare by watching this training video as an introduction and orientation for the class.
