For years I spent way too much on little jars of local kraut at farmers markets and specialty grocers. Then I started making it myself using organic cabbage to improve quality at a fraction of the cost. It doesn’t get any fresher and more local than that! Join the Protective Diet community this Tuesday evening for an interactive PD-Ed Co-Cooking Raw Sauerkraut cook-along class. While we’re connected around the world by interactive technology, I will guide you step by step, answering your questions while we make a quart of fresh red, green or combo kraut together. In just four days it will be filled with the benefits of multiplied probiotics thanks to lacto fermentation. As you pack your jar, you will learn how all raw vegetables have beneficial probiotics. We will use a two-thousand-year-old natural preservation method called lacto fermentation to multiply them. Probiotics will naturally preserve, ferment, and offer us protective condiments to enjoy in under a week.
