6th Annual Think Humanity Golf Tournament Results

(The photo above is one of the new wells from the 6th Annual Golf Tournament)

The trip to Uganda was one of the best ever, but we returned home to quickly turn our thoughts onto the 6th Annual Golf Tournament on August 13th.
We are so grateful to our volunteers, donors, sponsors and players.
Think Humanity was able to raise enough money to construct four wells and to purchase 1,000 mosquito nets. All wells have now been constructed and the mosquito nets will be added to our 7th Annual Bed Nets 4 Life Christmas Campaign.
The 2017 sponsors were: Wells Fargo, The Lodge Casino Black Hawk, Edward Jones Financial Services - Bill Hay, Hensel Phelps Construction, Highland Meadows Golf Course, Goscha Construction, Fort Collins Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Mary Kay Cosmetics - Pam Boudreau, Equity Real Estate - Nick Bukowski, Quality Roofing by Petitt, Fort Collins Painting and The Human Bean.
Special thanks to Wells Fargo and the Joe Bergholz-Kent Mills families who each had a well constructed.
Volunteers were Duane Bauman event coordinator, Cindy Rauschenberger, Jim and Beth Heckel, Deana Austin, Pam and Tom Boudreau, Will Reents, Ryan Debey, Jon Cumpsten, Robyn Debey and Larry Hereford.

  • Leadership summit "Portrait of a Hero(ione)"
  • Parent Visitation Day at Think Humanity Girls' Hostel
  • Visited new water storage tanks at two schools
  • Moonlight Primary School three classrooms (dedication)
  • Visited all students at their different schools
  • Acholi Quarter Camp and brought home new handmade products
  • Women's Health Day at the Think Humanity Clinic Kyangwali
  • Think Humanity Girls' Hostel leaders' meeting
  • Think Humanity Administrators' strategic planning meeting
  • and more.

Be watching for more information on our 7th Annual Bed Nets 4 Life Christmas Campaign. We will be selling Christmas ornaments and sending out the direct mail letters requesting $5 donations towards mosquito nets. This year we are giving out mosquito nets to the Alur people in Kihojo Village. This is one of the poorest areas of Uganda.
Below is only a sample of some of the ornaments that Think Humanity will be selling. You can also visit our Etsy shop HopeDignity where we have some ornaments for sale.

Be blessed!
