Science Fair
No conflict...it's the week we're closed
Date:Thurs November 9th, 2-4 PM
Location:Grace Point Church, 3794 W Ann Rd, North Las Vegas, NV 89031
ALL homeschooled children K-12 are invited to perform an experiment or present a demonstration research project and present their findings in a tabletop display at the RISE science fair. A wonderful experience where kids can share what they have learned in a supportive environment.
PLEASE NOTE: RISE IS CLOSED DURING THIS WEEK...you CAN attend this event and not miss a class!!

Service Project
Nov 9th
Reformation Lutheran is a host family for
Family Promise . "The mission of Family Promise of Las Vegas is to offer homeless families the opportunity to achieve housing stability by providing short term shelter, meals, case management and hospitality."
The church will be hosting families the week of Nov 5th-11th ... hence no RISE classes. Each hosting church feeds dinner to the families, each night.
RISE has signed up to prepare and serve dinner the night of Thurs Nov 9th. We need:
- 2-3 workers
- Financial donations
- Paper products
- Drinks
- Homemade Pies

We'd love to start off the year with a good supply of paper towels, toilet paper and hand soap! Another item we go through like crazy is lysol wipes.
