To all our returning CCC "snowbirds" - we MISSED you!! We're glad to have you back in Arizona and itching to get on the ice. After all, you're probably finding it relatively 'hot' here compared to your summer homes where it may already be snowing - or at least your windshields are frosty. Isn't it nice not to have to scrape those windshields ... or worse, plug batteries in so they don't freeze overnight!!?? So you want to "cool" off, right? Well, we've got just the thing to keep the ice cubes in your cocktails from melting too quickly - lots of day leagues at the Coyotes Curling Club!

Check out the day league schedules - find a slot that fits between your golf games, bridge and pickleball - or get out of that "hot" sun and those ultraviolet rays the doctor told you to avoid and come out and curl. Yes, our lights are bright - hallelujah! - but at least you won't get sunburned! Registration is now open for both Tuesday and Thursday daytime curling leagues, 10am to 12pm!!

And if your social calendar is already full, how about sparing? Please go to the member website (you do have a membership, right?), and update your profile indicating that you are willing to spare. Upcoming Bonspiels and Events:
Fall Fiesta - Nov 9 - 12, 2017

PIC Playdowns - Nov 18 - 19, 2017
The 2018 Pacific International Cup (PIC) will be held at the Richmond Curling Club in BC, Canada, April 11 - 15, 2018. This annual international event hosts both Men's and Women's events. Countries invited to participate include USA, Canada, Australia, Brazil, China, New Zealand, Japan, Korea and Israel. The teams have signed up - two men's teams (Nils Johansson and Bob LeClair) and 3 women's teams (Marnie Devlin, Jayne Burton and Carol Ann Naso) will be vying for the right to represent CCC at this year's PIC.
Come down to Club on Saturday and Sunday to watch some friendly competition and contribute to our bar fund$$ ;) For more information about the PIC, visit www.picup.ca.
