Korey's Corner

Happy Thanksgiving to you, my Children’s House family. As you are reading this, our celebration at school is behind us but your weekend is just beginning. I wish you all a beautiful holiday with your amazing children.
I am enjoying my family Thanksgiving dinner this year in Steve’s Barn! I am so blessed to be surrounded by my three daughters, all by siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and even my 91 year old auntie who is making the trip from Palmdale! It is so important to savor these wonderful celebrations of life and create memories that will last forever.
We all have so much to be grateful for and I am especially thankful for all of you.  If you are out and about Thursday afternoon, feel free to stop by to say hello!  There will, no doubt, be a great game of soccer or basketball happening in the playground!
All the best and enjoy! ❤️🍁🦃🥧🍂❤️

~COLLECT YOUR JOG-A-THON PLEDGE DONATIONS~

All Primary, Kindergarten and Elementary Parents...

OUR STUDENTS RAN A TOTAL OF 5307 LAPS (530.7 MILES)!

WOW!

Once again, we are so proud and impressed by the passion, commitment, determination and stamina, of every child who participated in the Jog-A-Thon fundraiser for must! charities - Boys & Girls Club-Atascadero.

A huge thank you to all the parents, family members and alumni who came out to help and participate. It was a great event and a huge success again this year!

We know all of you are now busy collecting the donations.

Please write your checks to must! charities and remember, your donation is tax deductible.

We do not need you to return the sponsor sheets. Your donations can be placed in the envelope on the small bulletin board, across from the Lower Elementary classroom door.

You will find a "thank you receipt" on our website. You can print and fill it out for everyone on your pledge list. Please have your student fill this out with you.

Please don't hesitate to email if you have any questions. Many, many thanks, once again.

Happy Fall!

There are so many things to be thankful for this time of year!

Whitney and I are so thankful to each and every one of you for sharing your children with us each day and we wish all of you a beautiful holiday filled with family and friends.

~PRIMARY~

Oh no, a spill! Don’t worry, we have lots of friends who love to help out. At the end of every day, we ring the bell and all the primary children help clean the classroom by putting up chairs and straightening up our room. On this particular day we had a huge bead spill and all the children jumped in to help pick them up.

A: Fowl weather!
from the Lower Elementary...
We have been very busy! We have been working on creating a timeline for our biography choices. Our class went on a leaf walk to collect as many different types of leaf margins as we could find. After we spent time identifying the margins we used our leaves to create a gift for your table!  We also had a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast! We thank all those who so graciously sent in the side dishes. We hope you all have a very loving and relaxing vacation!

from the Upper Elementary:

The Upper Elementary class has been busy on many fronts! We have been continuing our study of botany, including small group presentations of botanical processes and student-designed experiments to enhance understanding. We have also been fortunate to have the help of Rose Fahy in revitalizing our garden beds. We look forward to both the beauty and deliciousness of our newly planted beds! Happy Thanksgiving, from Upper Elementary!
