What up?
How are things going?
I finally got the chance to eat a bacon cheeseburger from Five Guys.
It was GLORIOUS.
When I got home, I Googled the history of Five Guys and accidentally found an excellent podcast series by NPR called How I built this -- it's basically a podcast that interviews incredibly successful entrepreneurs on how they built their business.
Anyway, I came across an episode with Jerry Murrell, the founder of Five Guys Burgers.
It's excellent.
Anyway, that's what I am up to.
Enjoy today's digest and keep fast food to a minimum ;)
Until next time, my friend, Dilanka
Contemplation:
"...Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds. The mediocre mind is incapable of understanding the man who refuses to bow blindly to conventional prejudices and chooses instead to express his opinions courageously and honestly..." -- Albert Einstein

If you are a fan of the TV Show Stranger Things, check this out.
Actually, even if you are not a fan, check it out.
It's an excellent case study on how studios are using 3D Printing to aid in the creation of characters.

This is an interesting product.
It's an add-on extruder for desktop 3D Printers that lets you print with TWO types material.

Very dry and academic whitepaper.
But, it's still amusing.
The gist is: An Artificial Intelligence algorithm thought that a 3D Printed turtle was actually a rifle.

This is definitely interesting news.
I've covered Markforged many times.
In fact, it's one of my favorite printers that I've never used.
The thing prints in kevlar and carbon fiber -- and it appears that Porsche has bought a stake in the company.
Congrats!

Looks like it's related to less than stellar third quarter earnings.
I don't want this to be a stock advisory newsletter, but I am including this anyway since it's a major company in our space.

Kodak got killed by the digital camera, and it appears that they've got their hands in the 3D Printing space.
The filament is interesting.
What's even more interesting is the upcoming Kodak 3D Printer.
