QIMR Genetics study - we need more people 

QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute is seeking people who have lived with depression to participate in a research study that aims to find the genes behind depression and, eventually, new cures.
 
If you know of anyone living with depression, now or in the past, please let them know about the study. If they would like to take part they can go to our website www.geneticsofdepression.org.au to get started.

Water safety & child prevention resources 

In NSW an average of 13 drowning and 84 non-fatal drowning incidents occur every year in children. Kids Health, the Child Health Promotion Unit at the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network is promoting a state-wide water and drowning prevention campaign ‘Kids Can Drown Without a Sound’.

Campaign resources including brochures and posters on this topic are available for download via http://kidshealth.org.au/inflatable-and-portable-pools  under ‘Downloads’. Printed copies of these resources are available free of charge when you complete the attached order form or via http://kidshealth.org.au/resources-order.

A free online ‘CPR Training for Parents’ is available to teach parents and carers the skills needed to perform basic CPR on a baby or child. It can be accessed via http://kidshealth.org.au/cpr
