PoE Certification Making Waves in Industry

Just a short time ago, the Ethernet Alliance Power over Ethernet (PoE) certification program launched and we hosted the 1st ever test event. The PoE certification program serves as not only a clear identifier for today's interoperable, standardized PoE products, but also a solid foundation for the next generation of IEEE 802.3 PoE standards. During the event, power sourcing equipment (PSE) and powered devices (PD) manufacturers submitted their PoE-enabled products for testing and validation against the Ethernet Alliance’s industry-defined test plan. New octoScope Equipment Adds to Wireless Testing Capabilities

In order to provide the most comprehensive wireless testing, we recently purchased additional octoBox chambers which will expand our wireless testing capabilities for performance, throughput, and quality of experience testing. Our octoScope testbed now includes two 26” octoBoxes and one 38” octoBox with a controllable turntable. This can be configured for video over wifi testing, mesh testing (self-forming, self-healing functions of a mesh), client steering and high speed roaming.
